Mirella Caro-Cortes MA, LMHC, NCC
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the Greater Orlando Area. I work with different types of clients with many different presenting problems. However, my passion is working with couples and their families. Receiving treatment from a qualified therapist will help your family regain strength, feel relief from societal pressures, and find the liberation of upsetting emotional distress.
I have a solid background in adolescent and family work. My internship was completed while working at an adolescent substance abuse treatment facility. Working with dual diagnosed young teens helped me create an integrated approach that effectively provided individual, couples, and family therapy.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family. My children Alyah and Bobby are my strongest motivator and passion in life. My favorite pastime is cooking, reading, and entertaining others. My easy going nature and pleasant demeanor make it easy for me to connect with my clients.

Feeling like you are no longer in control of your emotions and/or areas in your life? Feeling depressed, anxious, angry, or like the whole world is actively working against you? If so, you have found the right place!
Hi, I’m Amber and I am licensed in both Maryland and Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Seeking help to find the happiest and healthiest version of yourself is something I plan to aid you with as we embark on your therapeutic journey together. As a therapist and a human being, I know firsthand how the different aspects in life can make it difficult to manage tasks on daily basis as well as how challenging it is to handle and overcome these obstacles on our own. Therapy is not always easy, but my role as your therapist is to make sure you never feel alone on your journey or feel that you do not have the ability to move forward. No, I do not have a magic wand that is going to “cure” you, but I do provide genuine and empathetic conversations to help you find the truest version of yourself while exploring different theoretical approaches based on your individual needs. I tend to utilize a person-centered approach that may mix with therapeutic techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy, child-centered play therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and much more! My clinical experience includes providing therapeutic services in outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment settings to a diverse population of all ages and with all different diagnoses. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and even adults to overcome and manage a variety of concerns including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, adjustments to change, childhood behavioral difficulties, fears, identity questions/LGBTQIA+, and difficulties with emotional regulation. I believe that a nonjudgmental, empathetic, and safe space is necessary for a person to explore their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and experiences and I strive to bring that atmosphere into every therapy session.
