Emotions are a natural state based on a specific situation an individual is experiencing. Some individuals have different patterns of emotional temperament which leads them to handle situations in different ways. The National Institute of Mental Health reports that 1 in 5 children ages 13-18 have, or will have a serious mental health illness.
- 20% of youth ages 13-18 live with a mental health condition
- 11% of youth have a mood disorder
- 10% of youth have a behavior or conduct disorder

Mental illness affects many people every year. Educating ourselves, learning about it, and doing for those less fortunate is how we will overcome stigma. Times have changed, and the mental illness stigma that exists needs to end. Let us join together and fight against these debilitating disorders.
