Look at the Whole Picture
Patience is a quality that has been lost over time. In a busy world where time is a luxury and being still is unheard off. We are asked to learn to be more patient. Unfortunately, our culture has conditioned us to be the opposite and to expect things NOW!
How do we act when we want something? Do we wait graciously, and with humility? My guess is that if most people are like me, the answer is, No. Unlike us, Jesus Christ was a generous and patient man. He was born with a mission, and he patiently waited to see it to completion without so much one single complaint. He showed his disciples mercy, kindness and a huge deal of patience. Christ is the epidemy of what we should all strive for and act like in our life journey.
The sooner we come to realize that God’s in control, the sooner we can start understanding and accepting the ride. The beauty of it all is that a sense of strength and contentment comes with letting go. The expectation of being in control is relinquished to a higher being, and suddenly we start feeling better about ourselves and the world around us.
Next time you get disappointed about not being in control or angry about losing your patience remember this, when things do not work out is because something better is coming your way. Take a deep breath and enjoy the ride and allow yourself to see the beauty that surrounds you. Accept adversity with graciousness and humility and reap the rewards of endless opportunities.
